Who are we ?

Blacksheep is an Australian-founded payments and remittance platform that uses stablecoins and crypto networks to move money between bank accounts and self-custody wallets.

We started as a small team of Aussie crypto operators in Brisbane who were frustrated with how hard it was to move funds between banks, apps and exchanges without getting blocked or giving up custody. Today, we focus on one thing: making it simple for individuals and businesses to send and receive real-world payments using regulated remittance licences and stablecoin rails.

Blacksheep is registered in Australia and New Zealand and designed to sit alongside the tools you already use – banks, WISE, Revolut, exchanges and crypto wallets – so you can move money quickly, stay in control of your funds, and stay onside with compliance.

Our Story

BlackSheep was born out of a frustration shared by many Australian crypto investors; the difficulty of buying and selling crypto directly from your wallet or exchange account with Australian dollars. As local crypto investors ourselves, we were constantly hitting roadblocks when trying to buy and sell crypto using Australian dollars.

We tried some existing P2P services, however, we found many were often unreliable, poorly managed or complete scams. It was a minefield trying to determine which platforms were legitimate and trustworthy. We realised that Australia needed a homegrown solution. A crypto on/offramp that Aussies could truly trust to buy and sell crypto with ease.
